Chase Pond is almost closed in.  We'll see what this next storm does. 

 

November Afternoon

Thursday, November 11, 2019.  An unseasonable 65 degrees.  Eagles and ravens are calling across the water.  

 

A Field Trip to Enfield (NH)

We were looking for someplace new to wander, and today we found Cole Pond in Enfield. The trail is a bit over a mile, climbing gently on a beautifully maintained trail. We had lunch by the pond. Not a sound but the wind in the trees and a blue jay. I will have to get back there when the waterbirds are migrating.

Peace

Rain, wind, and suddenly autumn is over and winter peace descends.  November on the pond is perfect.
