Final Prediction for Tuesday, December 9, 2014

This time, the storm is exactly on target:  the low pressure center will pass right over the 40N/70W benchmark.  That is the bullseye for classic Nor'Easters.  As the air rushes in to the low pressure area, the rotation of the earth swings it around anti-clockwise.  That brings wet air swinging around at us from the northeast, drenching us.

Unfortunately the temperatures are not with us, and instead of 2 feet of snow we will get 2 inches of rain.  The temperatures in the early morning will be right around the freezing mark, above in the valleys, below in the hills.

So, WeHa, you will probably not have a late opening, just a very wet trip home.

Hill towns like Burlington and Torrington, icy roads will probably give you a late opening.
