The Great Wall of Wilmot

Clayton Nowell granted a conservation easement to the Ausbon Sargent Land Trust, making sure that his 28 acre farm will remain open forever.

He also amused himself by building a stone wall along the entrance.

People from the Wilmot Conservation Commission are blazing a small trail through the property.  I explored it yesterday.

Moosewood, Acer pensylvanicum

Northern wood sorrel, Oxalis montana

Hobblebush, Viburnum lantanoides

A fawn was here

Sulphur cinquefoil, Potentilla recta

Blackberries!
